Ryan received his PhD in Genome Sciences, and later his MBA, at the University of Washington. During 8 years at Seattle startup Adaptive Biotechnologies, Ryan led the Computational Biology group and then the Antigen Map Project, in which Adaptive and Microsoft set out to combine high-throughput molecular biology and machine learning to “read” the immune system for disease diagnosis. At A-Alpha, Ryan is using his expertise in sequencing, proteomics, and computational analysis to build and optimize A-Alpha Bio’s data science pipeline. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys baking, gardening, and hiking in the Cascades.
